The Bardavon Opera House and the Board of Directors are committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of visitors to our web sites. The personal information referred to in this statement of our Privacy Policy includes, but may not be limited to, names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, and credit card information.

We have prepared this policy statement so you will be aware of what information is collected about visitors to our web sites and how that information is used. From time to time, our practices may change necessitating changes to the policy as it exists now. We encourage you to refer back to this page to see the policy in effect at the time of your use and, if you wish, change your user preferences.

What Information About You Is Collected and How Is It Used?

Anonymous Information

You can browse our sites without logging on, and no personal information about you or your visit will be collected. Some anonymous, statistical information is automatically logged when you access our site. These “access logs” allow us to make our sites more useful to you and others who use them by, for example, tracking which features of the site are most used by visitors.
We may participate in Facebook and Google’s Custom Audience programs which enables us to display personalized ads to persons on our email lists when they visit Facebook.com or websites within the Google Display Network. In the event Bardavon changes our policy, we may provide personal information such as your email address and phone number to Facebook and Google to enable the websites to determine if you are a registered account holder. You may opt-out of participation in our Facebook Custom Audience or Google Custom Audience by sending an email, from the email address you are opting out of, to the email address provided in our contact information.
None of this information, which is listed below, is associated with any personal information or contains anything identifying you personally:

  • The date of the visit
  • The time of arrival and length of visit
  • The browser used (e.g., Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.)
  • A list of files downloaded or pages viewed
  • The Internet Protocol (IP) address of the machine through which the site was accessed
  • Any errors encountered

“Cookies”

A cookie is an alphanumeric identifier that is automatically stored on the hard drive of a computer that accesses a web site. Personal Information

We do not sell, trade, or transfer personal information to third parties. We may release your information when it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property or safety.
If you communicate with us by letter, e-mail, phone or in person, it is possible that information about the communication may be collected into a file specific to you.

Advertising and Analytics

Bardavon Presents collects data about your activities that does not personally or directly identify you when you visit our website, or the websites and online services where we display advertisements. The information may include the content you view, the date and time that you view this content, or your location information associated with your IP address. We use the information we collect to serve you more relevant advertisements (referred to as “Retargeting”) online. We collect information about where you saw the ads we serve you and what ads you click on.
You may opt out Google’s use of cookies or device identifiers by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.

Dispute Resolution

Any controversy or claim arising out of, or relating to, our privacy policy, or the breach thereof, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, and judgement upon the award rendered by the arbitrator(s) may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.

This website is under the compliance of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and does not knowingly collect information from any child under the age of 13 without parental consent.

Jurisdiction and Venue

All users, including those who access the web site from a country other than the U.S., agree by virtue of their use that the laws of the State of New York shall govern any disputes, including any arising from or in connection with use of the sites and any arising from the Bardavon’s use of personal information or otherwise relating to privacy and that any claim made against the Bardavon can be brought only in a federal or state court in New York County, New York, all as specified in our Terms and Conditions.
